The board.

The Belgian Plant Biotechnology Association (BPBA) is a non-profit association that aims to support progress in Plant Biotechnology. The specific goals of the society are:

  1. To organize scientific meetings and workshops on plant biotechnology research.

  2. To promote contacts and scientific exchange between academic and private institutions.

  3. To provide training opportunities by organizing and assisting scientific and technical workshops, in collaboration with academic or private institutions.

  4. To provide information on critical issues of cell and tissue culture to scientific organizations, industry, and government.

The society was founded in 2007 and headed by a steering committee consisting of elected board. One becomes a regular member of the society by attending the scientific meeting that is organized each year, usually during fall.
